Bible Studies and Containing other's posts C.H. Spurgeon, Heaven invades Earth, heavenly places 9:18 am
We have heavenly authority – we must use it. We are seated in heavenly places – we must act like it. We call ourselves “Christians” – we must live as salt and light! He loves us – we must love Him and obey His word.

And you think it's hot?
IT’S SO HOT IN TEXAS THAT……
The birds have to use potholders to pull worms out of the ground.
I saw a coyote chasing a rabbit and they were both walking.
The corn growing in the field is already popped.
Farmers are feeding their chickens crushed ice to keep them from laying hard-boiled eggs.
The potatoes cook underground, and all you have to do to have lunch is to pull one out and add butter.
The cows are giving evaporated milk.
A sad West River cowboy once prayed, “I wish it would rain – not so much for me cuz I’ve seen it-but for my 7-year-old.”
You eat hot chilies to cool your mouth off.
You can make instant sun tea.
You learn that a seat belt makes a pretty good branding iron.
The temperature drops below 95, you feel a bit chilly.
You discover that in July, it takes only 2 fingers to drive your car.
You discover that you can get sunburn through your car window.
Hot water now comes out of both taps.
You actually burn your hand opening the car door.
You break a sweat the instant you step outside at 7:30 a.m. before work.
No one would dream of putting vinyl upholstery in a car or not having air conditioning.
You realize that asphalt has a liquid state.
Your biggest bicycle wreck fear is,” What if I get knocked out and end up lying on the pavement and cook to death?”
And my personal favorite…

We are citizens of heaven now! Friday, Jul 10 2009
Bible Studies and Business Support and Morning Meanderings Biblesoft, Bill Johnon, C.H. Spurgeon, Citizens of heaven, Ephesians 2:19, Heaven invades Earth 9:35 pm
I am so pleased with Biblesoft! I don’t know how they do it – but on each day there is a devotional thought and scripture from Charles Spurgeon. I read him in Bible College but for some reason do not remember being so powerfully impacted by what he said. I guess it must take 35 years of life in the ministry to mature the mind to the level of spiritual sensitivity. The things I’ve been reading are ageless and have sparked more worship, more gratitude and more study.
I pray you enjoy this one this morning.
“Fellow citizens with the saints.”
Ephesians 2:19
Morning & Evening by C.H. Spurgeon
What is meant by our being citizens in heaven? It means that we are under heaven’s government. Christ the king of heaven reigns in our hearts; our daily prayer is, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” The proclamations issued from the throne of glory are freely received by us: the decrees of the Great King we cheerfully obey. Then as citizens of the New Jerusalem, we share heaven’s honours.
The glory which belongs to beatified saints belongs to us, for we are already sons of God, already princes of the blood imperial; already we wear the spotless robe of Jesu’s righteousness; already we have angels for our servitors, saints for our companions, Christ for our Brother, God for our Father, and a crown of immortality for our reward.
We share the honours of citizenship, for we have come to the general assembly and Church of the first-born whose names are written in heaven.
As citizens, we have common rights to all the property of heaven.
Ours are its gates of pearl and walls of chrysolite; ours the azure light of the city that needs no candle nor light of the sun; ours the river of the water of life, and the twelve manner of fruits which grow on the trees planted on the banks thereof; there is nought in heaven that belongeth not to us. “Things present, or things to come,” all are ours.
Also as citizens of heaven we enjoy its delights.
Do they there rejoice over sinners that repent–prodigals that have returned? So do we. Do they chant the glories of triumphant grace? We do the same. Do they cast their crowns at Jesu’s feet? Such honours as we have we cast there too. Are they charmed with His smile? It is not less sweet to us who dwell below. Do they look forward, waiting for His second advent? We also look and long for His appearing. If, then, we are thus citizens of heaven, let our walk and actions be consistent with our high dignity.
Doesn’t this read like Bill Johnson’s book, “When Heaven Invades Earth?”
I pray your day is blessed and you feel the touch of heaven as you live and minister from your seat in heavenly places!
Weave His Mercies into a Song! Thursday, Jul 9 2009
Bible Studies and Morning Meanderings and Uncategorized C.H. Spurgeon, meditation, mercy of God, prayer 9:04 pm
I was greatly touched in my morning meditation this morning – and my prayer is that you will be too! Weave His sweet mercies into a song today! Julie
“Forget not all His benefits.”
Psalm 103:2
Morning & Evening by C.H. Spurgeon
It is a delightful and profitable occupation to mark the hand of God in the lives of ancient saints, and to observe His goodness in delivering them, His mercy in pardoning them, and His faithfulness in keeping His covenant with them.
But would it not be even more interesting and profitable for us to remark the hand of God in our own lives? Ought we not to look upon our own history as being at least as full of God, as full of His goodness and of His truth, as much a proof of His faithfulness and veracity, as the lives of any of the saints who have gone before?
We do our Lord an injustice when we suppose that He wrought all His mighty acts, and showed Himself strong for those in the early time, but doth not perform wonders or lay bare His arm for the saints who are now upon the earth.
Let us review our own lives. Surely in these we may discover some happy incidents, refreshing to ourselves and glorifying to our God. Have you had no deliverances? Have you passed through no rivers, supported by the divine presence? Have you walked through no fires unharmed? Have you had no manifestations? Have you had no choice favors?
The God who gave Solomon the desire of his heart, hath He never listened to you and answered your requests? That God of lavish bounty of whom David sang, “Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things,” hath He never satiated you with fatness? Have you never been made to lie down in green pastures? Have you never been led by the still waters?
Surely the goodness of God has been the same to us as to the saints of old. Let us, then, weave His mercies into a song. Let us take the pure gold of thankfulness, and the jewels of praise and make them into another crown for the head of Jesus. Let our souls give forth music as sweet and as exhilarating as came from David’s harp, while we praise the Lord whose mercy endureth for ever.

Humor Deep South, funny, Gulf Coast Texas, Humor, the South 11:14 pm
This is funny because Southerners are so incredibly friendly and unique. We love living in the South! I remember the day my friend TSL gave me a book, “How to Speak Southern.” It was 1976 and I never thought we’d live down here.

Howdy All Y'all!
Southern-isms
Only a Southerner knows the difference between a hissie fit and a conniption fit, and that you don’t “HAVE” them, you “PITCH” them.
Only a Southerner knows how many fish, collard greens, turnip greens, peas, beans, etc., make up “a mess.”
Only a Southerner can show or point out to you the general direction of “yonder.”
Only a Southerner knows exactly how long “directly” is, as in: “Going to town, be back directly.”
Even Southern babies know that “Gimme some sugar” is not a request for the white, granular sweet substance that sits in a pretty little bowl in the middle of the table.
All Southerners know exactly when “by and by” is. They might not use the term, but they know the concept well.
Only a Southerner knows instinctively that the best gesture of solace for a neighbor who’s got trouble is a plate of hot fried chicken and a big bowl of cold potato salad. If the neighbor’s trouble is a real crisis, they also know to add a large banana puddin’.
Only Southerners grow up knowing the difference between “right near” and “a right far piece.”They also know that “just down the road” can be 1 mile or 20.
Only a Southerner both knows and understands the difference between a redneck, a good ol’ boy, and po’ white trash.
No true Southerner would ever assume that the car with the flashing turn signal is actually going to make a turn.
A Southerner knows that “fixin” can be used as a noun, a verb, or an adverb.
Only Southerners make friends while standing in lines, ….. and when we’re “in line,” we talk to everybody!
In the South, y’all is singular, all y’all is plural.
Southerners know grits come from corn and how to eat them.
Every Southerner knows tomatoes with eggs, bacon, grits, and coffee are perfectly wonderful; that red eye gravy is also a breakfast food; and that fried green tomatoes are not a breakfast food.
When you hear someone say, “Well, I caught myself lookin’,” you know you are in the presence of a genuine Southerner!
Only true Southerners say “sweet tea,” “sweet milk,” and “light bread”. Sweet tea indicates the need for sugar and lots of it — we do not like our tea unsweetened. “Sweet milk” means you don’t want buttermilk. And “Light bread” is white bread.
And a true Southerner knows you don’t scream obscenities at little old ladies who drive 30 MPH on the freeway. You just say,”Bless her heart” … and go your own way.
To those of you who are still a little embarrassed by your Southerness: Take two tent revivals and a dose of sausage gravy and call me in the morning. Bless your heart!
And to those of you who are still having a hard time understanding all this Southern stuff, …. bless your hearts, I hear they are fixin’ to have classes on Southernness as a second language!
And for those that are not from the South but have lived here for a long time, all y’all need a sign to hang on y’alls front porch that reads “I ain’t from the South, but I got here as fast as I could.”
Southern girls know men may come and go, but friends are fahevah!
Now… Shugah, send this to someone who was raised in the South or wish they had been! If you’re a Northern transplant, Bless your little heart, fake it.
We know you got here as fast as you could!

Bible - Word of God and Containing other's posts and God's Love for YOU 10:12 pm
My friend Bob White from Alden, NY sent me this today.
Interesting first because of the article itself, secondly because of my morning meditation in the pool which I’ll post later.
A man in Kansas City (William McPherson) was severely injured in an explosion. Evangelist Robert L. Sumner tells about him in his book The Wonders of the Word of God.
The victim’s face was badly disfigured, and he lost his eyesight as well as both hands. He was just a new Christian, and one of his greatest disappointments was that he could no longer read the Bible.
Then he heard about a lady in England who read Braille with her lips. Hoping to do the same, he sent for some books of the Bible in Braille. Much to his dismay, however, he discovered that the nerve endings in his lips had been destroyed by the explosion.
One day, as he brought one of the Braille pages to his lips, his tongue happened to touch a few of the raised characters and he could feel them. Like a flash he thought, I can read the Bible using my tongue.
At the time Robert Sumner wrote his book, the man had “read” through the entire Bible four times.
**************************
How many major explosions keep us from reading the Bible?
Is it (or should it be) a matter of urgent importance to us?
I hope this man’s example will be something I’ll recall the rest of my days.
O, taste and see that the LORD is good:
blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
Psalm 34:8
We are “Called to be Saints.” Sunday, Jul 5 2009

Romans 1:7
Charles Spurgeon
“We are very apt to regard the apostolic saints as if they were “saints” in a more especial manner than the other children of God. All are “saints” whom God has called by His grace, and sanctified by His Spirit; but we are apt to look upon the apostles as extraordinary beings, scarcely subject to the same weaknesses and temptations as ourselves. Yet in so doing we are forgetful of this truth, that the nearer a man lives to God the more intensely has he to mourn over his own evil heart; and the more his Master honours him in His service, the more also doth the evil of the flesh vex and tease him day by day.
The fact is, if we had seen the apostle Paul, we should have thought him remarkably like the rest of the chosen family: and if we had talked with him, we should have said, “We find that his experience and ours are much the same. He is more faithful, more holy, and more deeply taught than we are, but he has the selfsame trials to endure. Nay, in some respects he is more sorely tried than ourselves.”
Do not, then, look upon the ancient saints as being exempt either from infirmities or sins; and do not regard them with that mystic reverence which will almost make us idolators. Their holiness is attainable even by us. We are “called to be saints” by that same voice which constrained them to their high vocation. It is a Christian’s duty to force his way into the inner circle of saintship; and if these saints were superior to us in their attainments, as they certainly were, let us follow them; let us emulate their ardour and holiness.
We have the same light that they had, the same grace is accessible to us, and why should we rest satisfied until we have equalled them in heavenly character?
They lived with Jesus, they lived for Jesus, therefore they grew like Jesus. Let us live by the same Spirit as they did, “looking unto Jesus,” and our saintship will soon be apparent.”
I love it that our only pattern – Jesus – the pattern son – lived a sinless life as a human being. Thus He proved it could be done and that gives us incredible hope and motivation. Had He done it as God who cannot sin – it would have meant nothing to us – for we cannot duplicate it. But being born-again and spirit-filled with the same Holy Spirit that raised Christ from the dead – we have hope to attain that life! And our saintship – as salt and light in this world – will be apparent.

Containing other's posts and Honoring others and Prayer Intercession and Videos Lee Greenwood 2:53 am
Thank you to all in our Armed Forces!
God BLESS You.
I cannot stress highly enough our obligation to bless, support and pray for the men and women of the USA who defend our rights.
Please pray for them on July 4th ~ and every day.
It has nothing to do with your own philosophies of life,
it’s because they are willing to fight and die
for your right to have them.
I do not own any rights to the song or the video
the credits go to the men and women of the Armed forces,
and to Lee Greenwood.
